The Commission presumes that work within 50 feet of a resource area, or within 100 feet of the bank of a perennial stream or river, will harm it, and natural vegetation there is meant to stay. Plan patios, walls and pools outside those strips when you can.

Within 30 feet of an intersection or where a driveway meets the street, fences, hedges and stone walls can be no taller than 42 inches. Chain-link and existing retaining walls are excluded.
